Planting Under Redwoods? It’s Easier Than You Might Think.

Just reposting my post about gardening under redwoods, which was featured in February on the Bay-Friendly Gardening blog
Our garden was declared "Bay Friendly" and featured on the
Bay-Friendly Garden Tour in Spring 2010. That was a year ago,
but we still display the galvanized steel placard loud and proud.
The Sequoia sempervirens that flank the back
of our Oakland home. I underplanted them with
Bulbine frutescens, a succulent groundcover that's
native to South Africa and the subject of a plant profile
I recently wrote for The American Gardener.
More on that later.
